Born and raised in New Hampshire, Michael Appleton grew up in Derry and has been a part of its community his entire life. After graduating from Pinkerton Academy, he left home to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps and served across the world, from the frozen Arctic to the sweltering coasts of Africa.
Those experiences provide the perspective to say with conviction that the people of the Granite State and our way of life are second to none. Our beautiful little slice of America deserves representatives who are willing to support and protect the lives that New Hampshire families have built.

Michael Appleton will vote NO on any new taxes and work to reduce New Hampshire's property tax burden that already strains working families and seniors on fixed incomes. He will fight to preserve New Hampshire's competitive advantage by maintaining our promise of no income tax or sales tax, ensuring businesses and families continue choosing the Live Free or Die state over high-tax neighbors like Massachusetts and Vermont. Appleton will demand state government live within its means just like New Hampshire families do every day.
Michael Appleton will vote for legislation that helps attract businesses that diversify our tax base and reduce the property tax burden on homeowners. He will support zoning reforms that encourage responsible commercial development while preserving New Hampshire's traditional New England character and local communities. Appleton will work to ensure new development includes adequate infrastructure planning so existing residents don't bear the costs of poorly planned growth through higher taxes and strained services.
Michael Appleton will vote to defend the 2nd Amendment rights of the citizens of the Granite State. He will fight ANY legislation which seeks to unconstitutionally infringe upon those rights or disarm lawful gun owners. An armed citizenry is a tradition of New England which is rooted in the earliest years of our colonial forefathers and Appleton will ensure that it remains that way for future generations.
